Patrick and Delilah both finished their assigned schoolwork this morning by 10am. Since I hadn't put away the outer space window clings that we got from Rainbow Resource, I decided to have all of the kids put them up on the back door:
From there, we started talking about the solar system and what order the planets were in. Patrick read about the solar system in the
Kingfisher Science Encyclopedia. Then I broke out the Dover Solar System kit we had (also on the counter).
The children then spent the next forty-five minutes coloring pictures of rockets, stars and planets, watching videos about the solar system on youtube and making "spaceship" paper airplanes.
